Katie started at Hope in August 2022 as the off-campus study coordinator. In July 2023, she stepped into an off-campus study advisor role. In both of these roles, she has helped Hope students learn about opportunities to study off campus. Katie also helps with marketing projects, events across campus and off-campus study advising.

Professional Experience

In college, Katie spent a semester abroad in Honduras. After graduation, she returned to Honduras to work for a non-profit called the Association for a More Just Society. She spent two years working abroad in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, and another two years working from the office in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Why I Love Hope

Katie love working with Hope students and helping them have impactful global experiences. Studying abroad was life-changing for her, as it opened up her worldview and helped her grow as an individual. She loves being part of helping more students find off-campus programs and hearing how they grow through that experience.
