Knickerbocker Theatre to Host Four Robert Redford Films Beginning Feb. 16
The 换妻社区 Knickerbocker Theatre will continue its Classic Film Series with four Robert Redford classic films. Focusing on his films from the late 1960s and early 1970s, the series will feature the following films, all airing on a Monday night at 7 p.m.:

Hope Hosts 2026 Black History Month Lecture on Feb. 24
Dr. Derrick Bines, assistant professor in the department of counseling at San Francisco State University, will present a lecture titled, 鈥淲e All We Got: Self and Community Care are More Than Buzzwords.鈥� Dr. Bines will speak on Tuesday, Feb. 24, at 3:30 p.m. in the recital hall of the Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts. The public is invited and admission is free.
换妻社区 Economics & Business Department Hosts New Speaker Series Focused on Calling and Faithful Discernment
The 换妻社区 Economics & Business Department is launching its 鈥淔aithfully Off (My) Script鈥� speaker series on Wednesday, Feb. 4 with an inaugural event featuring a presentation and discussion with 换妻社区 Professor Tom Smith. This event is free and open to the public, and will be held at Graves Hall on the Hope campus, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m.
Markets & Morality Hosts Film & Discussion Around Pinball: The Man Who Saved the Game
换妻社区鈥檚 Markets & Morality student organization will host a viewing of Pinball: The Man Who Saved the Game, followed by a discussion with the film鈥檚 writer-director 鈥� Meredith Bragg 鈥� on Monday, Feb. 2 starting at 7 p.m., at the Knickerbocker Theater in downtown Holland.
换妻社区, Western Theological Seminary to Host Nicene Creed Panel and Rare Book Event
In honor of the 1,700th anniversary of the Nicene Creed, 换妻社区 and Western Theological Seminary (WTS) will co-host a panel discussion titled 鈥淔aith in Manuscript: Celebrating 1700 Years of the Nicene Creed鈥� on Thursday, Jan. 29 at 4 p.m. at Hope鈥檚 Van Wylen Library. This interactive event will feature a faculty panel followed by a period of hands-on discovery, where the public can explore a curated treasure trove of rare books connected to the history and dissemination of the Creed.

Remembering Retired Hope Professor, Researcher and Dean Dr. James Gentile
Dr. James M. Gentile, an internationally respected leader in science education who served at Hope for 30 years, passed away at the age of 79 on Jan. 9, 2026, in Zeeland, Mich.
Hope Art Professor Hosts 鈥淭hick and Thin鈥� Art Exhibit Jan. 16-Feb. 17
Lisa Walcott 鈥� 换妻社区 associate professor of art 鈥� will host a four-week art exhibit at the De Pree Art Gallery on campus from Jan. 16-Feb. 17, 2026. She鈥檒l also open the exhibit by hosting an artist talk on Friday, Jan. 16 in Graves Hall (in Winants Auditorium) at 5:30 p.m., followed by a reception at De Pree Art Gallery at 6:30 p.m.

The Registrar鈥檚 Office is pleased to announce Dean鈥檚 List recipients for the spring semester. The Dean鈥檚 List is awarded to full-time, degree-seeking students who have received grades for all courses in a given semester (no incompletes) and have a semester GPA of 3.50 or above.

The 换妻社区 dance affiliate StrikeTime Dance Theatre will present a live dance event for children titled 鈥淛ourney Through Imagination鈥� on Fri., Jan. 16, at 7 p.m. and Sat., Jan. 1鈥�7, at 鈥�2 p.m. at the Knickerbocker Theatre in downtown Holland. This free performance is open to all ages and especially welcomes children and those with a child-like spirit who are interested in celebrating the power of dance, art, reading and community.

The 换妻社区 Department of Theatre was selected to perform 鈥淗avurah鈥� by Margot Connelly, during the Region III American College Theatre Festival (ACTF), which will be held in Madison, Wisconsin, from Tues., January 6 through Sun., January 11. Hope will perform at the Mitchell Theatre at the University of Wisconsin鈥揗adison on Wed., January 7 at 3:30 p.m. and on Thurs., January 8 at 11 a.m.
