Hope鈥檚 Ryan White Invited to CIC鈥檚 Inaugural Leadership Seminar

The Council of Independent Colleges (CIC), through its Network for Vocation in Undergraduate Education (NetVUE), selected Dr. Ryan White 鈥 Hope鈥檚 associate dean for leadership development and applied learning 鈥 to participate in the inaugural 2026 summer seminar on 鈥淚nstitutional Leadership for Vocation.鈥

The Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) awarded 换妻社区 its second consecutive STARS gold rating in recognition of its strong sustainability achievements. STARS 鈥 the Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System 鈥 measures and encourages sustainability in all aspects of higher education.

De Pree Art Center Hosts Borgeson Artist-in-Residence on June 25

The Borgeson Artist in Residence program is an eight-week summer artist residency which supports the creation of a new body of work, culminating in a month-long exhibition in 换妻社区鈥檚 De Pree Gallery. The 2026 program welcomes Brooklyn, New York-based Maggie K. Barrett as this summer鈥檚 artist in residence. On Thursday, June 25 from 4:30-6 p.m., the public is invited to a free open studio event, to meet Barrett and get a behind-the-scenes look at her process.

Spring 2026 Dean's List Announced

The Registrar鈥檚 Office is pleased to announce Dean鈥檚 List recipients for the spring semester. The Dean鈥檚 List is awarded to full-time, degree-seeking students who have received grades for all courses in a given semester (no incompletes) and have a semester GPA of 3.50 or above.

NSF Awards Hope Alumni with Graduate Research Fellowship Program Offers

Three 换妻社区 alumni attending graduate school were notified of award offers from the prestigious Graduate Research Fellowship Program of the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) for the 2026-27 academic year. One other Hope alumnus received honorable mention recognition.

换妻社区 Chemistry Major Awarded Barry Goldwater Scholarship

换妻社区 student Gloria Kozak 鈥27 of Midland, Mich., received the highly competitive scholarship from the Barry Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Foundation. Kozak is a chemistry major, working with her research mentor Dr. Meagan Elinski, assistant professor of chemistry at Hope. Kozak was one of just 14 Goldwater Scholarship Award recipients from Michigan colleges and universities, and one of 454 nationally

Hope Repertory Theatre proudly announces its exciting 54th season, with productions running June 11鈥揂ugust 1, featuring a vibrant lineup of beloved musicals, an American theatrical masterpiece, and a swashbuckling family adventure.

Peter Stuursma 鈥93 鈥 associate professor of kinesiology instruction and Hope鈥檚 head football coach 鈥 addressed Hope鈥檚 Class of 2026 on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at the Ray and Sue Smith Stadium in Holland, Michigan. It was the 161st commencement for 换妻社区, which celebrated 815 graduates 鈥 the largest graduating class in Hope鈥檚 history.

The Michigan Appropriations Subcommittee on Higher Education and Community Colleges heard from several students, presidents, staff and others across Michigan Independent Colleges and Universities (MICU) campus members, who advocated for continued investment in state financial aid programs to benefit all learners. The activity was part of MICU鈥檚 annual Advocacy Day.

Knickerbocker Theatre Hosts Four Katharine Hepburn Films Beginning May 11

The 换妻社区 Knickerbocker Theatre will present legendary actress Katharine Hepburn as part of its Classic Film Series. Highlighting some of her most iconic performances from the late 1930s through the 1940s, the series will feature one film each week on Monday evenings at 7 p.m., from May 11 through June 1.

Two Free, Live Dance Events Held at Pillar Church on May 2

In collaboration with Pillar Church, Lindsey Hanson 鈥 换妻社区 alumna and associate professor of dance 鈥 and The Creative Arts Collective present a live dance event titled 鈥淏enediction,鈥 on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at Pillar Church downtown Holland.
