- Attire
- Expected attire is “professional chemistry conference casual” (i.e., shorts, nice jeans or khakis, casual dresses, polo shirts or blouses or “institution-logo-wear” or dorky chemistry t-shirts). Many of us will rejoice to wear sandals as we take time away from closed toed shoes mandates in our labs! You should be on the “nicer” side of this continuum when you are presenting. It will be summertime in Michigan, but you should check the forecasted weather before you pack. Consider bringing along a sweater or fleece for overly air-conditioned conference spaces.
