The 换妻社区 Concert Series will feature Cloud Nothings on Friday, Dec. 7, at 8 p.m. at the Park Theater inHolland.

Cloud Nothings鈥 most recent album, 鈥淎ttack On Memory鈥 received 鈥淏est New Music鈥 on Pitchfork upon its release, and both 鈥淩olling Stone Magazine鈥 and Stereogum placed the album on 鈥淏est of 2012鈥 lists.

The band has also been recognized for its energetic, exciting live shows.  鈥淐onsequence of Sound鈥 said of a recent show inChicago, 鈥淟et鈥檚 be real, Cloud Nothings could have sold out Lincoln Hall here inChicago鈥  There isn鈥檛 a weak track off Attack On Memory, and on stage, they prove it.鈥

In 2009,Cleveland鈥檚 Dylan Baldi began writing and recording lo-fi power-pop songs in his parents鈥 basement, dubbing the project Cloud Nothings. His music quickly started making the Internet rounds, gaining fans and impressing critics.  Baldi soon released a string of 7s, a split cassette and an EP before putting out 鈥淭urning On,鈥 a compilation spanning about a year鈥檚 worth of work, on Carpark in 2010. January 2011 saw the release Cloud Nothings鈥 self-titled debut LP, which, put next to 鈥淭urning On,鈥 found Baldi cleaning up his lo-fi aesthetic, pairing his tales of affinitive confusion with a more pristine aural clarity. In the interval since the release of 鈥淐loud Nothings,鈥 Baldi has toured widely and put a great deal of focus on his live show, a detail that heavily shapes the music of 鈥淎ttack on Memory.鈥
