This semester we will be following along closely with the Gathering series titled Spirit Renewal: The Life and Faith of David, studying various Scriptures from 1 & 2 Samuel. We will examine the story of David 鈥 a shepherd, king and sinner 鈥 to learn how to join him in his prayer: 鈥淐reate in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me鈥 (Psalm 51:10).

Want to strengthen your relationship with God? The only way to increase strength is through exercise, and the way that Christians have been spiritually exercising for thousands of years is through sabbath, scripture, solitude, prayer, fasting, community, service, witness and generosity. This semester, we will learn to intentionally incorporate solitude, prayer and community into our daily rhythms as a means of growing closer to God. This ministry utilizes the Practicing the Way discipleship curriculum produced by New York Times bestselling author of The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry, John Mark Comer. Over 21,000 church communities worldwide are using this resource as a means of deepening their discipleship to Jesus: Won鈥檛 you join them?
