Tree Plantings

Bees and Greens

  • 1.5 gallons of honey given to 换妻社区 Dining Services for use in recipes and cooking.
  • 86 jars of honey sold in the 换妻社区 Bookstore.

500 lbs. of herbs and micro-greens grown in Phelps Dining Hall

Bit0Farms Indoor Garden in Phelps Dining Hall grew 500 pounds of herbs and microgreens for their food.

419 clothing items rehomed

  • 139 lb. styrofoam
  • 150 lb. plastic wrap
  • 2,960 lb. cardboard

Other Recycling

  • 419 clothing items rehomed through Green Hope鈥檚 thrift store event
  • $1,155.40 raised by pop can donations in the academic year, donated to Dance Marathon

Food Recovery Network

  • 3,457 lb. of food recovered from Hope鈥檚 dining hall during the fall and spring semesters (partnership with 换妻社区 Dining Services)

Green Revolving Fund

  • Line charts demonstrating the increase in energy savings over the past yearSupported energy retrofit of two cottages with ENGS 100 class project
  • $58k lighting project at Schaap and DeVos Fieldhouse:
    • $15,000/yr in new savings from 24鈥25 projects
    • ~160,000 kWh/yr (15鈥20 homes鈥 electric usage)
